I developed a writing habit, rediscovered how much I love my job, and was surprised to get traction on some things, especially on LinkedIn. It helped me become more confident and a little bit more prolific. I am still working on that, but Ship30 got my wheels rolling, so I'm glad I joined. It's definitely worth the investment! I started writing online in January 2020. For the first nine months, I followed the usual advice: publish a weekly blog post on my own website. Hardly anyone read it, and I had no way of knowing what to improve.

I started writing online as a teenager in 2007, with a gaming blog. After studying creative writing in college, I took a copywriting job at a local advertising agency. But I wanted to write books and share my own ideas—not just write copy for other brands.
So I challenged myself to write on Quora every day for a year. By 2015, I was its most-read writer. That daily practice led to a column in Inc. Magazine, freelance work for founders and CEOs, and a multimillion-dollar ghostwriting agency.
